Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmers

I've been using Pearl Izumi leg warmers for years without a problem. But these new Thermal leg warmers just won't stay up. As soon as I pulled them up, they started sliding back down. Even with bike shorts on, they would not stay in place. I took them back and went with a set of Castellis instead. The Castellis are great. The Pearls . . . not so much.

I've used Pearl Izumi products for years, bibs mostly, and have always been impressed by their quality. I'm afraid they've come up short with their thermal legwarmers because no matter how good the grips are on your bibs, there is no way they will keep the legwarmers in place. It's the same with the thermal arm warmers and knee warmers, same problem they finish up bunched around your knees and elbows. I never had this problem with the non-thermal warmers, so I went for the warmer upgrade this winter but my hard earned money went down the drain. Sorry Pearl Izumi, but you definitely need to rethink and redesign your thermal products.

I am not a fan of leggings or long tights for riding but when it is necessary these a good ones. They fit well, keep you warm but not dry and of course if it warms up you can stow them instead of wearing them. Good product.
