Louis Garneau Neo Protect Shoe Cover

nice warm booties, used them for 3 rides so far. they seem well made, the cutouts on the bottom keep you from walking on the fabric and wearing them out. I wear a size 46 specialized shoe and the x-large fits fine, they are snug but not too tight. my old performance booties were wide on the bottom and rubbed on the crank arm, these kind of wrap around the bottom of the shoe and keep them from rubbing. They will fit on my mountain bike shoes too. overall a pretty good product for the money.

I like the way these fit perfectly over my shimano mtb shoes and they were quite easy to slip on and off. However, the discription for this product led me to believe that these are water proof. I took them on a charity ride in which it rained all day and my feet were pretty wet within about 10-15 miles into it. Maybe these will prove to be better suited for cold, wind, and only light rain. I'll have plenty of chances to test this theory this winter here Portland, OR. If you want something completely rain proof you'll need to spend more I guess.

Bought these after some zipper covers I bought drove me crazy getting on and off over my Shimano recessed cleat shoes, the fabric started to tear from clipping in, and after one of the zippers broke. Got these for half the price and couldn't be happier. Large openings in the sole mean that I have no trouble clipping in even though I use mountain bike pedals on my road bike. Don't ride in the rain very much, so can't comment on that aspect. But they're great for the temperate winter climate of the Bay Area.

surprised at how warm these kept my feet i wear S works Specialized road shoes so naturally i want to protect my investment as these shoes are not cheap,i can't ask for anythng more from these shoe covers they are AMAZING....JAY

I commute on a regular basis even when it rains. These booties have kept my feet relavely dry and clean during the wet season where I live. I wear a size 43-44 Mt bike shoe with lugged sole and bought the XL to make sure they would work sizewise. They fit over my shoes perfectly...no strugle to put them on or take them off and they are not baggy. The cutouts on the bottom fit around the lugs perfectly as well negating the possibility of the lugs stretching and wearing through the neoprene.

My only complaint is that they close with a single strip of velcro...I am going to modify these by sewing another strip on so that they will fit a little snuger around my lower leg. I suspect if I had tights on this would be unnecessary but it is not cold enough here to wear tights at least not yet so it would be nice to cinch them up around my lower leg to prevent any water from rolling down my leg and entering the bootie from above.

Overall I am very satisfied with this product and compared to the price of similar booties I think this is a good deal.

These keep my feet and ankles toasty warm when the temps in the 40's, I don't ride outside when it's much colder than that. The sole is flexible enough that you can take them off and store them in a jersey pocket if you start a long ride in cold temps but it warms up. They are fairly easy to put on but would be even easier if the velcro opening went all the way down instead of stopping a half-inch or so up from the bottom.

I have a problem in winter with my feet being cold these covers have been just what the doctor ordered. They are warm but not so warm that your socks become swampy. Very easy to put on and take off. I really recommend these covers.
