Durable Warmth

I got one of these baselayers last year when it got cold and just pulled it out again a few weeks ago and love how warm it keeps me. I'm not a big fan of tall collars but the semi collar helps keep the wind and cold zippers off my neck. I also like that it's not very thick and I can layer with out feeling constricted. Most all the other synthetic base layers I've had stink after one use but this one I can use all week and not offend anyone. I was also impressed with how durable it was after all the use and washings last year and it still looks new. If you ride or do activities in the cold this is a great base layer with out paying to much.

All around cold weather 1st layer. A can't miss for the money.

My winter training top consists of this Ironclad base layer, a wool jersey, and my team jacket. Barring drenching rain, I stay super warm. This base layer is super functional and it is cheap compared to others. It's very warm, fits snug but not uncomfortable, and it has some kind of anti-bacterial odor fighter in it that negates my funk. Most base layers get really funky really quick - not Ironclad!

You cannot go wrong for the money. I have really long arms and if I have one complaint it's that the length of the arms is a little shy, but honestly I run into that with almost any garment that's not tailored to me.

Forget the really pricey comparable items. You get the same if not more performance out of this piece.

Lasts and lasts

It occurred to me this morning that this is the third winter I've had this baselayer and it's still my reach-for-it-without-a-second-thought baselayer. I can't recall ever having another piece of cycling equipment or apparel last that long without careful upkeep. After dozens of washings it's still warm, it isn't all stretched out, and it doesn't smell like something died in it. What more could you want?

Excellent value and performance

I don't have a plethora of base layers and find most prices shocking, so the price and other reviews made this product appealing. I have gotten to wear this on a few shorter rides (2 hrs or less) and am very impressed so far. It works well with a long-sleeve thermal jersey and wind vest at 35 F and also with a short-sleeve jersey (no vest) at 50ish. It wicks well and so far hasn't gotten the funk associated with synthetic materials. Highly recommend this if you don't want to drop the $$$ for wool.

Best base layer I've worn

I've been wearing base layers since the very early days if polypropylene and this is the most comfortable and efficient one that I've ever worn. They hold up well and the size is accurate.
